Recently, the Nonferrous Metals Society of China organized a meeting to evaluate the scientific and technological achievements of a new type of permanent rare-earth electromagnetic levitation transportation system. Mr. Yang Bin, President of JXUST, attended the meeting and made a report on technical research and project implement on behalf of JXSUT. Mr. Yang also handed in supporting materials.
This project was first proposed by JXUST in 2014. Then, as a comprehensive pilot project for the development and utilization of rare-earth resources, the project then gained support from three ministries, namely Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and Ministry of Land and Resources in 2015. And it was finished in 2016 with the consorted efforts of Southwest Jiaotong University.
