On April 13th, a delegation of Geely Technology Group (GTG) visited the Sanjiang Campus of JXUST. Upon extending a warm welcome to the guests, Professor Wen Herui, president of JXUST, introduces the school from the aspects of discipline construction, talent training, scientific research, social services, and international cooperation. After the welcome ceremony, a cooperation agreement was inked. In accordance with the agreement, both parties agree to facilitate expertise training, research platform construction, sharing of scientific information and market expansion. Mr. Wang Kai, Mayor of Ganzhou Municipality, participated in the agreement signing ceremony.
GTG is a subsidiary of Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co., Ltd (ZGH), commonly known as Geely, a Chinese multinational automotive company headquartered in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. The company is privately held by Chinese billionaire business magnate Li Shufu. It was established in 1986 and entered the automotive industry in 1997 with its Geely Auto subsidiary. Geely Auto is currently the seventh largest automobile manufacturer in China, with 1.328 million sales in 2021. It also produces electric vehicles under some of the previously listed brandings, including dedicated EV brands.
