According to a decree released by Jiangxi Provincial Administration of Science and Technology, four research platforms of JXUST were certified to be provincial key labs. These include:
--Strategic metals laboratory for low-carbon processing and utilization of mineral resources;
--Laboratory for prevention and control of environmental pollution in mining and metallurgy;
--Laboratory for ecological protection of water at the source of rivers;
--Laboratory for safe and efficient exploitation of rare metal resources.
For the target of meeting the major needs of national strategies, industry and regional developments, JXUST strengthened the planning of scientific research platform layout and continuously strengthened the construction of scientific research platform during the "Fourteenth Five-Year Plan" period. On the basis of an efficient scientific research platform system, a large number of high-level scientific and technological talents have been cultivated, who strongly contributed to national and local economic development.
