Jiangxi University of Science and Technology (JXUST) held a graduation ceremony for the class of 2024 on June 18, with over 7,000 graduates receiving bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees. The ceremony was also streamed live via multiple social media platforms. Gong Yaoteng, executive vice president of SYSU, presides over the graduation ceremony .
In his speech at the ceremony, Professor Yang Bin, the CPC JXUST committee, extended his congratulations to the graduates on the completion of their academic studies at JXUST. Yang encouraged the graduates with the centenary legacy of JXUST, “Vision and action”. He said that the pursuit of this vision requires the joint efforts of all members of the university. He hopes that the graduates of class 2024, should be patriotic, pragmatic, rational, open-minded, independent as well as responsible, striving to serve the country, make impact on the world and lead the future.
He expressed that the centenary is a new start point for the university, and that the graduates will embark on a new journey and start a new chapter of their lives at the upcoming graduation. He called on graduates of class of 2024 to “set out again” together with the university. He also called on graduates to firm up their ideals and convictions, maintain the pioneering and hardworking spirits, as well as to contribute to write the youth chapter of the Chinese path to modernization.
