On the afternoon of September 10, JXUST celebrated the 34th Teacher's Day Commendation Conference. More than 1,000 people attended the conference, including heads of various functional departments, representatives of teaching staff and students. The conference recognized JXUST professional ethics pioneer in 2023, faculty members who have been engaged in education for 30 years, and collectives and individuals who won provincial and ministerial ( including ) or above awards from 2023 to 2024.
Professor Yang Bin, on behalf of the University Council and the University leadership, expressed his festival wishes to all the teachers and his heartfelt congratulations to all the teachers who won the commendation. He added that looking back on different historical periods, JXUST people have always made positive explorations for the cause of education with a high sense of social responsibility, historical mission and high morale.
Educators play an important role in enhancing the students’ learning experience and also encourage them to excel in their studies. For JXUST, the teaching profession combines not only theoretical and subject-related knowledge but also a number of cognitive and psychological skills. “As educators, we are tasked with shaping society and the leaders of the future and this past few months has been extremely challenging as we jointly weathered the storm of COVID-19 to ensure that students receive the support they needed,” said President Yang.
