On Oct 30th, Shanghai Ranking Consultancy, an independent organization focusing on higher education, released its annual Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU). Three academic disciplines of JXUST, including metallurgy engineering (No. 7 in China), mining engineering (No. 9 in China) and Marxist theory (No. 173 in China), were included as top-ranking academic disciplines, respectively ranked to be 7, 9 and 173 among all the higher education institutions of China.
The publication currently includes global league tables for institutions and a whole and for a selection of individual subjects, alongside independent regional Greater China Ranking and Macedonian HEIs Ranking.
