On Dec. 5th, the local legislature of north China's Shanxi Province appointed Lin Wu as vice governor and acting governor of the province Thursday. After graduating from Jiangxi Institute of Metallurgical Engineering （later renamed Jiangxi University of Science and Technology) in 1982, Lin started work in a state-owned steel plant based in Hunan Province. Lin is now vice-governor of Shanxi province, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shanxi Provincial Committee, and deputy secretary of the leading Party members group of Shanxi Provincial People's Government.
