On Jan. 10th, the Research Institute of Rare Earths (RIRE), Chinese Academy of Sciences, was inaugurated in Ganzhou. Professor Yang Bin, president of Jiangxi University of Science and Technology, attended the inauguration ceremony.
In the next three years, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Jiangxi Provincial Government will jointly fund the construction of the research institute, hoping to further strengthen technological innovation in the fields of rare earth permanent magnet, rare earth luminescence, rare earth catalysis, rare earth polishing, rare earth ceramic materials and rare earth alloy, and turn Ganzhou into an internationally influential highland of the rare earth industry.
