On Oct. 21, the 10th China Technology Market Association Conference was held in Zibo, Shandong. Mr. Luo Xianping, a professor from Faculty of Resources and Environmental Engineering, was awarded the second prize. The research project, new technology for efficient water-saving and energy-consumption beneficiation of complex lead-zinc sulfide ore, is one landmark achievement serving the local economic and social development.
Widely put into industrial practice in the medium- and large-sized lead-zinc mines in the western provinces of China, the innovative technology significantly improves the separation efficiency and comprehensive recovery rate of lead-zinc sulfide ore flotation, reduces the water consumption, energy consumption and unit consumption of medicaments in the beneficiation production. In addition, it realizes the low-cost recycling of mineral processing wastewater. In the past three years, a total of 4 billion profits have been generated.
