On June 26th, the opening ceremony for the high-quality educational development forum was held in Jingzhou, Central China’s Hubei province. President Wen Herui of JXUST addressed the forum with the topic “developing JXUST into a nationally-prestigious university by meeting the country’s strategic needs and high-quality development of non-ferrous metals industry”. Making the best of the resource advantages of rare earth, tungsten, copper and lithium and proactively serving the trillion-dollar non-ferrous metal industry of Jiangxi province, JXUST puts forward the development goal of "building a world-class academic discipline in the utilization of rare earth”, Wen added. It is reported that 150 scholars across the country attended the forum, and nearly 3,000 people watched it online.
