On the afternoon of Sep. 8th, the conference in honor of the 39th Teacher’s Day was held in the campuses of Sanjiang, Nanchang and Yintan. 700-plus faculty and staff representatives, together with the governance body of JXUST, attended the grand celebration.
Professor Yang Bin, Chair of the governance council, addressed the ceremony. Stressing the utmost importance of teachers in improving the academic quality of a tertiary institution, Yang shared his insights about building China into a leading power in science, technology and education. Later, representatives of faculty and students delivered speeches at the conference.
Teacher’ Day falls on Sep. 10th, which is a day when students should show special respect to their teachers and appreciate their long-lasting contributions.
