On the morning of January 7, a symposium on counterpart cooperation was held between JXUST and Shenzhen University. The delegation from Shenzhen University, led by Wang Yongcheng, Vice President of Shenzhen University, attended the meeting. Liao Chunfa, Vice President of JXUST, and Lai Xiaogin, Member of the Education Working Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Municipal Education Bureau, were present. The meeting was chaired by Wang Fengsuo, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Director of the United Front Work Department.
Liao Chunfa extended a warm welcome to the delegation and expressed gratitude for Shenzhen University’s long-standing support. He highlighted the university’s recent achievements in institutional reputation, platform development, disciplinary advancement, and technology commercialization. Emphasizing the university’s growing social influence and comprehensive capabilities, Liao noted that leveraging national strategic resources in rare earth and non-ferrous metals, as well as regional advantages, the institution has demonstrated robust momentum in sectors such as tungsten, copper, and lithium. This has driven continuous breakthroughs in disciplinary innovation and technological advancement. He reaffirmed the university’s commitment to leveraging its strengths and consolidating resources to foster collaboration in talent cultivation, disciplinary development, and platform construction.
Wang Yongcheng introduced Shenzhen University’s profile, disciplinary framework, and future plans. He praised our university for its distinctive disciplinary strengths, promising educational prospects, remarkable achievements in technology transfer, and outstanding talent cultivation. Wang expressed hope for deepening mutual trust and collaborative ties to jointly advance high-quality development in both institutions’ educational endeavors.
