A delegation led by Zhu Jinghe, General Manager of the Technology and Digital Intelligence Department of China Nonferrous Metal Mining (Group) Co., Ltd. (CNMC), visited Jiangxi University of Science and Technology (JXUST) on March 20. Yang Bin, Secretary of the University Party Committee, attended the symposium, where both parties exchanged views on collaborative scientific research projects, technology commercialization, platform development, and the cultivation of engineering doctoral candidates. The meeting, chaired by Wu Caibin, Director of JXUST’s Office of Scientific Research, included representatives from the School of Materials Science and Engineering, School of Metallurgical Engineering, School of Resources and Environmental Engineering, School of Emergency Management and Safety Engineering, and other relevant departments.
Yang Bin provided an overview of the university’s comprehensive strengths, research achievements, talent development programs, and disciplinary advancements. He noted that JXUST and CNMC have established multiple collaborations in recent years, particularly in technological innovation, platform construction, and talent cultivation within the nonferrous metals and mineral resources sector. Yang emphasized the university’s commitment to deepening cooperation with CNMC under the principle of mutual benefit, aligning with national strategic priorities and regional socioeconomic development goals to expand collaboration into broader, more substantial, and higher-quality domains.
Zhu Jinghe outlined CNMC’s latest advancements in technological innovation and proposed specific plans for future cooperation. He expressed hope that both parties would leverage their respective strengths to address practical technical challenges through organized research initiatives, further broadening and deepening university-industry collaboration to jointly contribute to regional economic and social progress
During the meeting, the two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on technology-driven projects, commercialization of research outcomes, shared platform development, and talent cultivation strategies. Project leaders also provided updates on the progress of ongoing collaborative initiatives.
The visit underscored the shared commitment of JXUST and CNMC to fostering innovation-driven partnerships, combining academic expertise with industrial applications to advance technological breakthroughs and sustainable development.
