JXUAT Holds 2025 Talent Work Advancement Conference

The 2025 Talent Work Advancement Conference of Jiangxi University of Science and Technology (JXUST) was held on the afternoon of March 19 in Conference Room No. 2 of Lianxi Building at the Sanjiang Campus. Dong Bingyan, Member of the Standing Committee of the University Party Committee and Vice President, attended the meeting. Heads of talent-related departments from various schools (faculties), relevant functional offices, and staff members were present.

During the conference, Dong Bingyan acknowledged the achievements made in talent recruitment and development over the past year while addressing existing shortcomings. He outlined four key directives to advance talent-related efforts in 2025:

Strengthen Primary Responsibilities and Deepen Awareness of Talent Work’s Significance: Uphold the fundamental principle of the Party’s leadership over talent initiatives. Recognize the critical role of high-caliber talent in enhancing the university’s academic strength and competitiveness. Elevate political awareness and refine strategies to ensure robust support for talent development.

Proactive Outreach and Expanded Talent Recruitment: Adapt to evolving trends by conducting targeted research and visiting leading institutions to identify outstanding candidates. Leverage digital platforms and professional agencies to amplify recruitment campaigns, implement "targeted talent acquisition," and harness existing talent networks to attract new professionals.

Focus on Priorities and Accelerate Progress: Concentrate efforts on core areas of talent development, adhere to procedural rigor and timelines, and ensure the fulfillment of recruitment goals with quality and efficiency. Foster an environment where talent can "thrive, stay, and excel," thereby advancing the university’s high-quality development.

Problem-Solving Approach to Address Challenges: Tackle shortcomings in "high-impact talent recruitment" by exploring innovative strategies to secure top-tier professionals in cutting-edge fields. Capitalize on disciplinary strengths and leverage policy incentives from the Gannan Soviet Area to attract exceptional talent, further elevating the university’s reputation and influence.

 

The university’s Personnel Department and Office of Scientific Research conveyed and studied the latest national and provincial guidelines on talent work, outlining plans for national-level talent project applications and recruitment procedures. Representatives from each school provided updates on their current recruitment progress, shared upcoming strategies, and offered recommendations to enhance institutional talent efforts.

The conference emphasized the university’s commitment to building a world-class talent ecosystem, aligning with its strategic goals for innovation-driven development and academic excellence.
