Professor Yang Bin (Party Secretary of JXUST committee), and Academician Ge Shirong, President of Jiangxi University of Science and Technology (JXUST) and Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, recently led a delegation to Jiangxi Copper Corporation (JCC Group). The visit aimed to deepen strategic collaboration with China’s leading copper producer.
The delegation engaged in substantive discussions with Zheng Gaoqing, Chairman of JCC Group, who warmly welcomed the university leaders. Chairman Zheng highlighted the historic partnership between JCC and JXUST in technological innovation and talent development. "As an industry pioneer, JCC looks forward to expanding our alliance with JXUST," he stated, "to jointly advance China’s nonferrous metals industry strategy."
Professor Yang Bin underscored the university’s progress in talent cultivation, scientific research, and platform development. "Building on our robust foundation, this visit propels industry-academia-research integration," Yang emphasized. "We will align our academic strengths with industrial innovation chains to empower Jiangxi’s trillion-yuan nonferrous metals sector."
Academician Ge Shirong outlined the university’s integrated approach to education, technology, and talent. "Focusing on critical mineral resources, JXUST has established an end-to-end innovation ecosystem," Ge noted. He proposed collaborative platforms and high-impact research hubs to accelerate knowledge transfer and set new benchmarks for industry-university synergy.
