Mr. Xiong Baiqing, Director of the National Key Laboratory (NKL) for Nonferrous Metal Structural Materials, led a delegation to Jiangxi University of Science and Technology (JXUST) for a working visit aimed at strengthening collaboration and advancing joint research initiatives.
The meeting brought together representatives from both institutions, including Professor Yang Bin, Executive Director of Ganzhou Laboratory and Deputy Director of the NKL, along with JXUST Vice President Wang Hang and Academic Vice President Chen Bin.
During the discussions, Professor Yang Bin highlighted the University’s longstanding expertise in nonferrous metals and the solid foundation laid for the National Key Laboratory. He expressed optimism that the exchange would deepen cooperation and drive the laboratory’s development to new heights.
Director Xiong Baiqing commended JXUST’s research capabilities and achievements in talent cultivation. He shared valuable insights on the core mission and strategic direction of national key laboratories, offering important guidance for the University’s continued efforts in this regard.
Both sides also engaged in fruitful discussions on scientific collaboration, talent development, and industry-academia-research synergy. Participants contributed actively, putting forward suggestions to support the NKL’s growth and impact.
The visit served as an effective platform for dialogue and alignment, clarifying key priorities and a forward path for the National Key Laboratory. Moving ahead, JXUST and the NKL for Nonferrous Metal Structural Materials will join forces to tackle key technological challenges, translate research outcomes into industrial progress, and contribute jointly to the high-quality development of the nonferrous materials sector.
