Jiangxi University of Science and Technology (JXUST) held a fun sports event on March 8th to celebrate the 116th International Women's Day, drawing nearly 500 female faculty and staff members to its Sanjiang Campus athletics field.
University leaders, including Party Secretary Liu Zuwen and Deputy Party Secretary Xu Zhifeng, attended the gathering. Secretary Liu visited the competition areas, cheered on participants, and expressed gratitude for their contributions to the university's development, encouraging them to carry the day's collaborative spirit into their professional lives.
Addressing attendees, Deputy Secretary Xu extended greetings, acknowledging the dedication of female staff in teaching, administration, and service roles. He framed the event as both a celebration and an acknowledgment of their hard work, urging them to maintain their confident and dynamic presence.
The event featured three team-based activities designed to blend competition with fun: "Giant Brush Calligraphy," where groups of eight collaboratively maneuvered large brush to write uplifting phrases; a ten-person rope-skipping contest emphasizing synchronized timing; and a "Drum Sync" challenge requiring nine team members to coordinate precisely in keeping a ball bouncing on a drumhead.
The atmosphere was filled with cheers and laughter as teams demonstrated teamwork and vitality. Organizers noted that beyond providing relaxation and enjoyment, the activities aimed to strengthen collegial bonds and morale. Participants expressed their intent to channel the energy and unity from the games into their daily work, contributing to the university's broader goal of becoming a world-class institution in rare earth and critical minerals research.
