On March 24, Jiangxi University of Science and Technology signed a strategic cooperation and talent fund donation agreement with Shanghai Jinlide Mining Co., Ltd. The ceremony took place at the Sanjiang campus.
Before the signing, Ge Shirong, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and president of the university, met with Chen Qiang, founder of Jinlide Mining. Ge thanked the company for its support and called for practical collaboration in critical mineral exploration, joint labs, and targeted talent training to boost Belt and Road mining cooperation.
At the ceremony, Dong Bingyan, a vice-president of the university, welcomed Chen and his team, expressing gratitude for the company’s generosity in setting up a talent development fund. He pledged full institutional support to ensure the partnership delivers tangible results.
Chen Qiang briefed the audience on his company’s core business and future plans, noting the university’s strong research capabilities in critical minerals. He looked forward to regular communication and concrete project implementation. Wang Jinliang, deputy general manager, added that the two sides have complementary strengths and will explore customised international talent programmes. Wei Yujun, general manager of Jiangxi Qiangyu New Energy, also expressed optimism for a win-win partnership.
