Recently, the Ministry of Education announced the results of the 7th Selection of Targeted Assistance Project by Provincial Universities, and our university's project titled "Promoting the Industry of Tea-Tourism Towns through the Integrated Development of Tea, Tourism, and Culture" was successfully selected, with only two universities in the province earning this honor.
This project focuses on the construction of the Tea-Tourism Town in Chongxian Township, Xingguo County, Jiangxi province and demonstrates the university's significant achievements in promoting characteristic industries, leisure agriculture, the inheritance of red culture, and rural tourism by exploring a new model of "specialized cultural tourism + rural revitalization".
The university's Party Committee attaches great importance to rural revitalization efforts, regularly conducts assistance work in the stationed villages, and has leveraged nearly RMB 90 million in various assistance funds since the "14th Five-Year Plan" period for industrial expansion and infrastructure construction, increasing the income of each household by more than RMB 5,500. The university's work related to rural revitalization has been featured on the front page of the Gannan Daily and we had been elected as the vice chairman unit of the Provincial Rural Revitalization University Alliance.
In July, the Department of Development and Planning of the Ministry of Education launched the 7th Selection of Targeted Assistance Project by Provincial Universities. After voting by 32 provincial education administrative departments and 64 directly-affiliated universities with designated assistance tasks, 66 typical projects were ultimately selected.
