On April 10, Yang Bin, Secretary of the Party Committee of Jiangxi University of Science and Technology (JXUST), led a delegation to visit China Nonferrous Metals Research Institute Group (CNMRIG) and BGRIMM Technology Group. The delegation engaged in in-depth discussions with senior executives from both enterprises, including Zhao Xiaochen (CNMRIG Party Secretary and Chairman), Li Zhihui (CNMRIG Deputy Party Secretary), Mao Changhui (CNMRIG Vice General Manager), Han Long (BGRIMM Party Secretary and Chairman), Wang Weidong (BGRIMM Deputy Party Secretary), and Wang Haibei (BGRIMM Vice General Manager). Both sides explored avenues to deepen collaboration in areas such as collaborative technological innovation, joint platform development, co-development of achievements, joint talent cultivation, and academic journal partnerships. Xu Zhifeng, Deputy Party Secretary of JXUST, along with university leaders Dong Bingyan and Xiong Zhihua, accompanied the visit.
Strengthening Synergy with CNMRIG
At CNMRIG, Zhao Xiaochen welcomed Yang Bin and his delegation, acknowledging the longstanding fruitful cooperation between the two parties. He highlighted their joint accomplishments in national-level research platforms, academic journal collaborations, and talent development. Zhao emphasized that the co-construction of the "National Platform for Nonferrous Structural Materials" would serve as a catalyst for intensified collaborative innovation, technology commercialization, and joint talent training, aligning with national strategies for technological self-reliance and supporting Jiangxi’s high-quality development in the nonferrous metals industry. Yang Bin expressed gratitude for CNMRIG’s enduring support and reaffirmed the university’s commitment to fully implementing joint initiatives. He underscored plans to enhance synergy between national and provincial platforms, prioritize breakthroughs in major scientific projects, and advance joint cultivation of engineering master’s and doctoral students to empower local industrial innovation.
Deepening Ties with BGRIMM Technology Group
During discussions with BGRIMM, Yang Bin thanked the group for its sustained support and reviewed their shared history of collaboration. He pledged to fully implement their strategic partnership agreement, drawing on BGRIMM’s expertise in nonferrous metals to advance shared goals such as platform and talent exchanges, journal collaborations, and joint applications for major projects and awards. Han Long noted the fruitful outcomes of their cooperation in joint graduate programs, scientific projects, and technological achievements. He proposed further collaboration in restructuring national engineering research centers, preparing for the 15th Five-Year Plan projects, expanding educational internationalization, and sharing analytical testing platforms to deepen industry-academia-research integration and drive high-quality sectoral development.
Representatives from relevant departments of CNMRIG, BGRIMM, and JXUST attended the meetings.
