In a powerful university-city synergy, Yingtan Municipal Government and Jiangxi University of Science and Technology have jointly unveiled the "Talent Ten" measures. The policy also addresses practical living concerns, offering local talent subsidies, free access to designated apartments, and housing vouchers.
This comprehensive support system aims to eliminate the common hurdles faced by professionals working across institutional boundaries, freeing them to focus on innovation.
Zhang Aimin, a lead official from Yingtan's Copper Industry Development Center, hailed the policy as a game-changer. "By tackling concerns about career progression, dual appointments, and housing, 'Talent Ten' unlocks the full innovative potential of talent," he said. "This deep integration will accelerate R&D and commercialization in copper-based materials, injecting a core of intellectual vitality into our national cluster project. It's a synergy where career growth and industrial advancement resonate together, propelling Yingtan from a 'Copper Capital' to a true 'Copper Innovation Highlands'."
Echoing this sentiment, Xiao Xiangpeng, Dean of the University's Advanced Copper Industry College, noted that the policy offers regionally competitive benefits. This strategic incentive, he said, "will steer academic talent towards the copper sector, fostering a deep fusion between Yingtan's industrial chain and the university's research outputs, thereby underpinning the industry's transformation."
